Old Bures Dragon
The Bures Dragon was created for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. There is a story dating back to the 1400s that tells of a dragon living in the Stour Valley where it terrified the locals who tried to shoot it with Bows and Arrows only for the arrows to bounce off its thick hide. It seems it did not like being shot at, so disappeared into the river! The dragon is on private land and cannot be approached on foot, but can be viewed from a distance.
